G. Adam Schweickert

G. Adam Schweickert, Esq. is an honors graduate of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and a concentration in Business Administration.

He worked for Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, Connecticut for several years in its employee benefit and casualty insurance divisions serving Travelers' largest "national account" customers - helping to manage their health, dental, and disability plans, and was an underwriter of their workers' compensation, general liability, and automobile insurance plans.

Adam turned to law at the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he participated in its Criminal Clinic, and graduated with honors. He clerked for the Honorable Robert N. Chatigny, U.S. District Judge in the District of Connecticut in Hartford, and the Honorable Wade Brorby, U.S. Circuit Judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

He began practicing law in New Haven, Connecticut in franchise law (including mediations, arbitrations and litigation on behalf of a national franchisor of fast-casual restaurants), medical malpractice (where he defended an area hospital, physicians, and university), and numerous personal injury cases.

Adam joined Robert Chesson in October 2004 to establish Chesson & Schweickert LLC and the Landlord Law Firm. Like his partner, Adam focuses exclusively on representing residential and commercial property owners - handling their summary process litigation needs. He is a member of the American, Connecticut, New Haven, and Milford Bar Associations and the Connecticut and American Trial Lawyer Associations.
